As part of our continuous efforts to provide better opportunities to pursue higher education at Malaysia’s Award-Winning University, we are offering deserving & talented school leavers a wide range of fee Awards leading to rebates/discounts.
Apart from academic excellence, the APU Awards recognise those with strong leadership qualities & high achievements in sports both at state & national levels. These individuals deserve brighter futures and APU shall help to make it happen.
The APU Scholarships & Merit Awards are awarded for the entire duration of the course. If you secure your APU Scholarship & Merit Award for Foundation or Diploma Programme, your Scholarship Award will continue until completion of your degree, provided you meet the minimum CGPA requirement on annual basis. For example, if you secure a 50% Scholarship based on your 9A’s in SPM, your discount will be 50% for your Foundation Programme and 50% for the entire 3 years (Non-Engineering) or 4 years (Engineering) Degree Programme. You will need to maintain a CGPA of 2.5 each year.
For example, if you secure a 30% Scholarship based on your 7A’s in SPM, your discount will be 30% for your Foundation Programme and 30% for the entire 3 years (Non-Engineering) or 4 years (Engineering) Degree Programme. You will need to maintain a CGPA of 2.5 each year.

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2025
10 A+ 100% Discount (Interview Required) Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 3.70 at the end of each academic year. 9 A's 50% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. 8 A's 40% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. 7 A's 30% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. 6 A's 20% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. 4-5 A's 10% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. SPM Grade A+, A, A- are all considered as A's for Scholarships & Merit Awards. -
O-Levels / IGCSE 2025
9 A's 50% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. 8 A's 35% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. 7 A's 20% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. 4-6 A's 10% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. -
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) 2025
12 points & below in 6 subjects 50% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. 13-18 points in 6 subjects 35% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. 19-24 points in 6 subjects 20% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. 25-30 points in 6 subjects 10% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. A-Levels 2025
AAA 50% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. AAB 35% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. ABB/ AAC 20% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. BBB 10% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. -

37 points 30% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. 26-36 points 20% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. -
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) / Canadian International Matriculation Programme (CIMP)
≥ 90% 50% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. ≥ 85% 35% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. ≥ 80% 20% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. ≥ 75% 10% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. -
East Malaysia Community Rebates
SPM, STPM & UEC Qualifications from Sabah, Sarawak Schools 15% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. -
Sportsman Awards
National Player 40% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. State Player 25% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. -
MDEC (Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation) Digital Ninja Rebates
All active Digital Ninjas who are endorsed by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) 25% Discount Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. -
APU/APIIT Community Rebate
APU/APIIT Alumni’s Children Discount 10% Discount 10% discount for APU/APIIT’s Alumni’s Children to study Foundation, Diploma, Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate programmes. Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting minimum CGPA 2.50 at the end of each academic year. Siblings Discount 5% Discount 5% discount for those joining as a new student (Sibling of a current student who is actively studying at APU at the time of enrolment) effective with 2024 fee guide.
Terms & Conditions
All Awards offered by APU are subject to the following terms and conditions as stated below:
- All applicants must meet the minimum entry requirements & maintain the CGPA specified in order to enjoy the Fee Awards in the subsequent years (where relevant). Failure to meet such academic requirement will result in the award terminated/ suspended.
- All Awards leading to fees rebate/discount are on first come first serve basis and you may secure by paying Enrolment Fees.
- All Awards offered by APU to any student are at the absolute discretion of Scholarships & Merit Awards Committee.
- Awards are limited to course/tuition fees only. All other fees & expenses including library fees, registration fees, residence fees, deposits, Partners University Fees, student ID, resit or retake fees, living and travel expenses; as determined by the Award shall be borne by the Award holder.
- Awards are not transferable or exchangeable for cash either in part or in full.
- All the Award Applications must fulfill the Award Academic Entry Requirements with actual results.
- For Sportsman Award, applicants are required to provide a letter of justifcation to prove their status as a national or state player yearly from the respective official sports organisation.
- The University reserves the right to decide on the number Awards to be awarded for each programme.
- Recipients who fail to comply with all the terms and conditions of the Awards will be required to pay back in full the total value awarded to him / her by APU.
- Award holders must practice exemplary behavior and read, understand and comply with all rules, regulations and requirements as stipulated by the Rules & Regulations and Professional Code of Conduct of APU.
- Award holders should attend regularly, diligently and without fail all classes, lectures, tutorials and lessons required by the course or programme of study.
- Award holders must meet all requirements pertaining to completion of assignments, projects and examinations as required by the course of study.
- All Awards are applicable for studies at APU in Malaysia only and are not applicable for study at overseas partner universities.

How to apply for the APU Malaysian Scholarships & Merit Awards?
- Start the process even before you finish high school - SPM, UEC, STPM, IB, A-Levels, O-Levels and other qualifications.
- It is recommended to apply for the Scholarship with your forecast or trial results, as soon as they are available. Secure the Scholarships by Enrolling at APU; together with your academic results. Please note that Scholarships are limited and on first come first serve basis.
- We will recommend you to visit us to find more information and completing your application for the Scholarships, however you may apply online.
Deadline for APU Malaysian Scholarships & Merit Awards 2025 is Sunday, 21 September 2025. All Scholarships are LIMITED to few seats and are on FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.
